1990 300zx tt bad miss
Okay I just bought my first Nissan 300zx. When I go to start it I have to give it gas to start and once its started it has a bad miss and will drop down and die at idle if I don't keep tapping the gas. It also has very low power and the exhaust gets red hot after a while of running. I was told it was out of time but im pretty sure there is more going on than that! Due to my lack of knowledge on these sort of matters im hoping you guys can help!

Hot exhaust = lean mixture, causes could be bad MAF, Vac leaks, bad injectors/fuel pump, timing, to name a few. Have you pulled the codes?

No I haven't yet I was kinda thinking injectors and the fuel pump has been changed I guess I need to check those codes before I do anything else

Yeah, check the codes, then follow diagnosing procedure in the FSM, if you still cant figure it out then maybe we can throw some ideas at you.
