300zx transmission

I got a 92 300zx with an automatic transmission. So here's the problem my transmission didn't want to switch out of first gear but yesterday I decided to try it again and the only way it switches gears is if you drive to about 4 or 5 rpm and then let go of the gas pedal until it drops to about 1rpm and then press the pedal again. Has this happened to anyone ?? I find it weird. Is it my transmission ? Bad wiring ? Help he out

Check out the TPS and make sure the front plug is not installed backwards. I did this once and it shifted just like your describing.


If its installed incorrectly, could very well be the solenoids i the transmission. When was the last time the fluid was changed?

The fluid was changed last week I thought that was the problem at first
