Okay guys, I am in the process of installing a vh45 and z32 transmission in my 240. I have the engine in the bay and the transmission bolted up but for some reason the striking arm/shifter seem to be sitting at an angle away from the driver. I can not get the transmission to go into more that two gears. I was wondering if I could have possibly installed the striking arm upside down? It can only be installed two ways due to the fact that you have to put a pin in it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help.

is the shifter support bracket bolted in securely and not falling apart? are the shifter bushings OK or gone? the shifter support bracket and bushing cause a lot of issues on these, and if you ahve it in an S13/14 chassis does it clear the opening? is the shifter rubbign somewhere and limiting movement? does the trans adapter plate tilt the trans?

Everything is tight and the shifter is brand new from mazworx. I had to cut the opening but only toward the back. The opening does not limit side to side motion. The trans adapter does not tilt the transmission any. I will get some pictures up later today to help explain what I am talking about.

My main concern right now, is if anyone knows if it is possible to install that striking arm upside down? It appears to only go in one way but then again, I have never worked on a z32 transmission. Thanks for the help.
