The project that I started a few months ago is finally complete and the transmission upgrade I'd been waiting for is available.

The only thing missing from the pics is a machined bellhousing that is needed to mount the transmission to the SR...as well as a custom driveshaft needed with a Z32 yolk.

Hopefully i'll have mine by next week.

If anybody wants more info about this kit...hit me up [email protected]

let me know what you think

If I could come up with the cash I'd have one, but with Xmas on the way I just can't swing it at the moment.... but soon enough.

They are the same. The gearratio difference on the 300z is in the rear end. Non-turbo rear .410. Turbo rear gear is a .386. 240 is .410.

That was the rear end numbers z1 gave me. Guess I should have checked with nissan directly instead of the biggest 300z aftermarket parts retailer east of the MISS. Where did you get the numbers from you quoted?

Z32 trannies have gears that are physically wider (thicker) than SR/KA/CA trannies. A thicker gear increases your failure stress and thereby allows you to deliver more power to the wheels safely.

Can I put this on a Honda? J/K, are they better with the syncro's, I'm just tired of the damn syncros, my 98 SR's syncros already crapp'n out.
