Good question, I'm interested as well. Everyone's tryin to git there mits on s14 seats for their s13. Ive driven both cars and the Z seats are definitly more comfortable. Which means they probably weigh more:( ...This all seems like a pain in the butt though, I just might buy Corbeau A4's (adj.) or Forza's (fixed back) http://www.corbeau.com

as ive noticed of most seats.. they connect using 4 bolts from the floorboard to the seat rail.. so.. if you get 300z seats, and bend/weld your own mouting holes.. it should be as simple as that.

I have talked to someone who tried it--he told me that they were a little too wide to fit in the car--he had an s13 too.

No 300zx seats will not fit in a 240sx not even an s14. I've tried.

I did get 350z seats in a s14 though, but this required some welding.

Stock leather s14 seats make my *** hurt, so it was worth upgrading to the more comfy 350z seats for me.

Covered the cost of installation by selling s14 leather seats to a guy with a s13 convertable.

I do have R33 GTS seats and they fit fine and are just as comfortable or more comfortable than s14 seats. The 300zx seats are wide, but I think anything is possible its just a matter of how much your willing to sacrifice to get them to fit. The picture below is of the R33 seats.

I guess it's just how much time you are willing to spend with it.

I figure if you know how to use a welder, willing to reweld the 240sx brackets and the 300zx brackets together/apart or what not, then you should be able to find a solution.

I'm sure it will be one big pain in the *** tho. I just finished installing my aftermarket seats, which had sparco brackets "made to fit." Not only were they a ***** to install, but the seat went up too high (probably won't be a major issue if you put in the 300 seats), then i had to redrill the holes (not fun either) and test mount them w/o sliders, which is now a little more acceptable.

I'm not sure what the price of used 300zx seats is, but I'm sure it's pretty expensive. So, if you want to do it, go for it, I wish I had the ability to do it (I don't know how to weld jack, I can barely drill :)).

My only warning is if you decide to go aftermarket seats, watch out for height problems if you are 5'10" or higher.

and watch out about tearing the threading - I almost did that, that would not have been fun especially since it was driver's side hole.

240DRFT: that like of rudee's is sweeet. The seats look tite in there.

I guess if you're short that would be ok. Being 6'1", my hair brushes the roof of the car with the stock seats in the s14. I couldn't find a way to retain the electric adjustable 300z seat and give me enough head room. The 350z seats were a pain in the (alternative word for donkey) to install, but gave me the head clearance I was looking for. s13 has more head clearance to begin with so maybe its not as much of an issue.
