White smoke usually means head gasket. Either do a compression test or get the PH levels tested in the coolant. You can also see if there are bubbles in the coolant with the car running. I have never really liked that method cause it can be inconclusive. The PH testing is usually the quickest and easiest, cause it will tell you if your head gasket is leaking into the coolant.

The best test is compression test, this will tell you which cylinder it could be leaking from. It will also tell you the health of your engine.

Smoke seems to have died down after the gas light turned on but the car is running rich.

Have you done a balance test? Its pulling each coil plug one at a time and seeing if you have a cylinder not firing.

Turned out my maf was torn. Replaced the maf and idles much better now. Only problem now is smoke upon acceleration. Smoke is white, but it smells like gas. Gonna try to compression test this weekend if I get the chance and also replace sparkplugs, fuel filter, and oil.
