first off id like to say that im disappointed to see 240sx.org merge w nico....i liked it better when it was just 240's and we had all kinds of articles and installs as soon as the website opened..... i know theyre still there...but its not the same....thats just what im thinkin....

anywaysi have a 300 rear end(w lsd) but the bolt patten on the axles are different.i figured i could use 300 axles and do the 5 lug coversion. are the 300 axles even close to the same size or am i a dumbass for thinking it?

I used j30 axles. Getting harder to find them now though.

I think the 300zx axles are too long. You could try using them as cores at your local advance/autozone for rebuilt j30 axles. Maybe its possible to remove the part that attaches to the diff, and swap it with the ones on your 240sx axles. Maybe a decent shop could do it for you.

And if you already have a 5 lug s14, sell me your rear hubs and bearings from that 300zx subframe.

Yes, Infiniti J30...the '92-94 cars have axles that are identical to S13/S14 axles, but have the 5-bolt pattern on the output shafts (where they bolt to the diff).

See here, it will answer all your questions:
