300zx problem need help

hey i went to start my car this morning and its like below 30 degrees here. i tried starting it and it sound like the battery was dead, well it started. Well i got a quarter mile down the road and started missing bad. Then the hicas and antilock lights came on and died and wouldnt start after that. It ran fine the day before so idk. has anybody had this problem???
please help me out!

thanks ive had a few people tell me that its never happened before but ill try that!

Yeah, your battery is dead, or dying. Check it with a voltmeter/multimeter when the car is off. Should be around 12.5 VDC. With the engine running it should be around 13.9 VDC ± 0.5VDC. If not, your alternator, or some component of it, is shot.

Before starting the car, honk the horn and if the sound is kind of stretched and faded then you know its the battery. Incase you don't have the equipment like a battery meter.

yeah i have a voltmeter and i checked the battery it was reading about 12.8 but i turned the key to acc and it dropped to about 5. I took it out and had it check and it had a dead cell...
