so my 1990 300zx has been leaking for a while now from both sides of the exhaust camshafts covers i have attempted to fix this problem 3 times already..since they dont make gaskets for these covers?i went to pepboys and bought the make your own gasket paper and glue but oil keeps leaking.I recently noticed that the injector closest to te passenger door is not working.should i replace all the injectrs or just the one that is not working?? my car has 151,000 miles and runs like crap due to bad injector and oil leaks i will attemp to fix te oil leaks again this week and the bad injector but was wondering wat is te best way to fix the oil leaks ??THANKS :tisk:

first of all, the exhaust cam covers shoudl have no gasket, the gaskets you added are likley makign things worse, take the cam covers off, and clean all the crap fomr the mounting surfaces on the cover and the head surface, be sure you get all the oil sealant out of the groove int he bottom enge of the cam cover, once everythign si clean and oil free, make sure it's clean and oil free! then you apply a bead of RTV grey, put it all back in place with scrwes finger tight, let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes then tighten the cover bolts

you might also want to remove the little rear half moon thingy and clean and seal it both sides while you are at it

not for the injector thats cylinder #5, and you verified it's bad by ohming it right? it's up to you if you want to replace 1 or all, it sounds like you've already had the plenum off a few times so ay future failures will be simple to addres ;)

Don't use any make a gasket paper, do what evil said, clean it off, apply rtv grey and let it set then tighten the screws. You might want to buy new half moon rubber plugs, mine were shriveled and did not seal properly anymore. I believe Z1 sells metal replacement ones if you want to go that route.

the 19 ohm reading I'd be concerend about, clean the contacts and retest, if ti doesn't improve taht injector might be on it's way out, the others are decetn, that 15 you might want to clean and retest as wel, standard reading should be 12-14 ohms
