Hey everyone I’m new to the 300zx world and bought my first one a week or two ago the runs great but has a rough idle and seems to skip or drop off in power from 2500 to 3000 rpm but picks up after than and runs great not sure what the problem could be I’ve heard it could be the coil packs or bad injectors it’s a 93 300zx 2+2 n/a thanks for the help

Start off with the factory service manual - You're gonna need it. It's at nissanservicemanual.com

After that, following the troubleshooting in the manual, you're going to test for fuel and spark (at each cylinder), as well as compression test for overall engine condition. Then we'll look for vacuum leaks (which would certainly fit the symptoms). Throwing parts at it isn't wise, and you'll wind up frustrated and broke.

Yeah I don’t want to spend money on things I don’t need but I will check thee spark and fuel and go from there
