Alright so a while ago I made a post about my computer always changing codes on me. I found out my coolant temp sensor was making false contact. I got a new connecter and cleaned up the connections and oddly that sensor improved my gas mileage. Now I was code free for a week or so and check engine light turned on for EGR (32). I've done some research and have found out that most people just delete the egr. But, I live in California and well I can get my smog done of course it will just be almost double.. and if I were to delete it at this point it's not a very realistic option to pull the engine as it is my daily and has been nothing but faithful to me even with 200k. Ps. Previous did not take care of this car at all but she is now getting the love she deserves!

I thought the EGR code only shows code if their is a problem/connection with the EGR temp sensor. Its threaded on the EGR valve body, maybe check the connection to that too.

If the harness is shorted/broken (common) then it will throw the 32 code. Cali cars also have a different setup for the EGR solenoids I found when dealing with mine, and the array isn't shown in any diagrams in the FSM unfortunately.
I've kept my EGR with my build as a new upgraded harness fixed that code 32 problem and my build fixed the rest- car now passes emissions with custom ECU, 530bb turbos, 800cc injectors and 400+/- HP on mostly stock exhaust (except DP's/mufflers).
