I was playing need for speed underground 2 the other day and I started fixing up my 240 hatch and I saw that you can change the lights on the 240 so the look like tho ones on a 300zx...

I personally think that this would be a great idea...

Has anyone thought of doing this?

D00d HOW MUCH ARE THE ONES ON THE TOP PICS!!!!Those are beautiful.... I am not a big fan of the flip ups (Unless I can get them to stay Sleepy Eyes)ANDI dont feel like shelling out massive amounts of money for a silvia conversion

PLUS I would like to see something different

Anyways how much are those on top?

I honestly have no idea. I just found a few pictures.

I beleive they are stock Z32 300zx lights. You might be able to find some at a junkyard somewhere... try http://www.car-parts.com to see if any salvage yards in your area have some.. I don't know anything more about it. I remembered seeing a thread about that a long time ago.. so I just searched and found those pics.

Hope it helps.

Do you have the URL for the Thread?

I want to see if I can Find any Info on wether they had to cut any metal off or if it was easy to bolt in? It does look like it fits right in tho...

several companies have produced headlights that look like that and just drop in, no bodywork needed. Try searching for "ABFlug 240sx" on google. I don't know if they make them anymore, but it should point you in the right direction.

I have some nice pictures of this conversion. This has been discussed several times in "240sx & Silvia" forum BTW. That's where I got these pics. Above 300ZX conversion looks like Saturn, so you should go for one of these. Personally, this is one of the best looking non popup conversions. I don't know about the lighting quality though.

As far as I know, these are the companies who make(used to make) non poup headlight conversion kit for S13s. Trust me. They are not cheap. Run about $500+??? You may find cheap ones or knock offs, but quality won't be there.

yeah, these things are expensive. i think i'll try my hand at some custom pieces. i've got an extra set of lights that i can experiment on. i really like those ones that say "super made" in the bottom corner.

Yeah buying lights is very expensive, I made some lights just like the ones on the red (stock color one) hatch.

It uses the stock headlight door, you just cut out a hole in the door in your own design.(leave some headlight door on there for support plus it looks better) make a pocket to put some lights in. spend lots of time fixing cornors of the headlight doors. and put some plexy glass on top. sucure the headlight doors down and take off the headlight motors.

It takes lots of time and trial and error work. I took mine off due to poor lighting and never put better lights im them. but when I do I will post some pics.

Z headlights on a 240 make it look like a Saturn.

Those fixed lights on the red 240 were done by an old 240sx.org member named Kyle, car has since sold.

EastBear and SuperMade are pricey. I can get the SuperMade lights for about $600 shipped from AU.

I have the ONLY set of CF projector housings made by C-West back in the day - I don't think they sold any, and I bought the prototypes off the guy whose car they used.

They're going on the NICO Project Vert, pics soon.

One more addition, but I don't like this conversion. Hood scoop looks terrible too.

This is All Round headlight kit. Blinker is an option(5000yen). Yellow one already has FD blinkers, so I guess it doesn't have them.

Actually, I'm a huge fan of popup lights. I wish Nissan put the one on the left with 2 round lamps as a stock. 240 headlights popup too high, and I guess that's why many people don't like them. Look at old Miata. They look somewhat stupid with headlights on. It looks like a FROG. You know what I mean? If headlights come up just about right like NSX, I bet more people will like them.

how much does the all round kit cost? I might end up trying to make my own....I want the super made/all round style.

Hitman, are those C-west lights in that super made style? if so could I get the dimensions, or some blueprints, or a schematic or something?

Okay. This is what you need to do. Go to garage-13.com and just get the covers without the light. It'll be around $305(US) plus S&H from Australia. Talk to Alex d!ck. I've been exchanging emails with him recently. He's a nice guy, but reply is kinda slow. Anyway, I think that'll be better starting point.

there is a headlight conversion on ebay right now that IMO looks alright. It's two lights on each side that look to be about 2.5 or 3 inches in diameter. I plan to buy the kit in about 2 weeks and i'll post some pics after i get them installed

I don't think that's a conversion.

If it's the same one I've been seeing, it's an OEM headlight with a black sticker on it.

the ones with the popup dual projector is a sticker...i got ones off here a while ago that isnt...its actually dual projectors but you gotta do the sleepy eye to keep the head lights pointed right...i modified the arms on the motors to get it to go up like half way when you turn the lights on then go right down when u turn them off
