300zx lighter receptacle/center console replacement

does anyone know how to get the lighter receptacle (the plastic white ring that is fastened to the center console) out from the shifter console without tearing the darn thing up? your help is appreciated in advance!

Your best bet is to just take the center console out and disassemble it, its a lot easier that way

well if you do end up breaking it...this guy sells them..i just bought one from him after i threw my old crappy cig lighter away with it still attatched to it! he's got tons of good stuff for the Z32
