hello!! i have JDM tails, the tailights come on but the brake lights dont work at all, only the third brake light works. i have checked and replace bulbs with 1157 bulbs, brake lights dont work at all, do i have the right size bulbs for the JDM tails?? what could be wrong?? any guidance is appreciated

i did my search online and i couldnt find any detailed info

Are you using twin filament bulbs for the brake lights? (I am assuming that is what the 1157 bulbs are...)

You may also find that the wiring is different between US spec, and Jap spec cars, due to the different ways that the tail lights operate.

Use a test light (similar to this)

or a multi meter, to identify which wires in the car are for the driving/park lights in the tails, and which wires are activated by the brake switch, (for your brake lights)

Once you have figured out which wires do each job, you will probably have to cut the wires on your harness, and connect them up to the tail lights as required. (Hopefully, you have the plugs for the J-spec lights, and some wiring left on them, so you can splice and solder them together....
