Hi all, new here and have a few questions.

I've been wanting to buy a 90's 300zx turbo. I've searched ebay and from what I recall, they're going anywhere upwards of 15k. I want one with no more than 100k miles.

I've done some quick google searches and found a few with under 100k...actually under 80k miles for less than $10000. Pics looked good and descriptions said cars were clean. Is there any reason why I see higher bids being placed on ebay? Is under $10000 too good to be true? What do they usually go for? Is there anything specific I should be looking for?

Thanks!

Welcome!
Ebay is Ebay, and IMO not a place for good deals buying cars (or anything else). No contact or real knowledge of a seller is never a good thing.
Most realistically priced Z32's fall in the $5-7K (AT,MT NA's) and $9-12K (AT, MT TT's) for cars in the mileage range you mentioned, excellent condition with required recent 120K service assumed. Lower mileage one owner cars and ones that are minty fresh will run towards that $15K range, but generally the range I mentioned is where most knowledgeable Z32 buyers are looking to pay.
Craigslist is a good place to look and any other car sale productions, depending upon where you live there may be a few to choose from within a reasonable distance and I myself spent two years watching cars local and on c-list before I bought the one I did, from a c-list ad in SF (I live in Washington). It's worth the trip to get the right car.

I agree on Craigslist. Cars are local so you can go see them. Since it is free to advertise you seem to get a lot more cars advertised.

Thanks for the responses guys! Any opinions on this? Has a bit over 100k miles but does anyone think it's a good deal?

I just got a 96 TT with 89k off craigslist. had to drive an hour and do some haggling but got him down from 7 to 5k. That one you linked is a auto :( But if your ok with that go check it for rust. and all the usual crap. Priced a little high if you ask me. And try to avoid 96s, they have OBD2 ecus and are down about 20 ponys without VVT.

Ok, thanks. I'm perfectly ok with auto. I'll definitely be searching some more though. I guess I should give Craigslist a shot.

Check classifieds on here, projectz, and twinturbo.net. There are some pretty nice ones on these sites ad can be reasonably priced.
