this is a perfect time to purchase a haynes or chiltons manual, or even better that factory manual. It will show you what bolts are needed, but from my those bolts probably have to be removed. I have a vg30, so i cant really help ya but my heads were held in by bolts around the outside. Also make sure you get NEW bolts for the heads, when you reinstall.

you do not have to remove those two plugs. the bolts you need to remove are located underneath the camshafts. you will need to remove the camshafts to remove them. I also recommend getting a manual. You may want to loosen the bolts in steps in the reverse order the manual says to torque them. Make sure when you put the heads back on you replace the bolts with either new bolts or something like ARP studs.
