Hello Hello everyone. I just wondering which is better for the swap--aluminum or iron?I believe that aluminum cools down faster that the iron.

Watch it if you buy them from places like Autozone,Napa,Kragen. I had a bad experience when I purchased mine. 1. Make sure the bolts holding them together are the right length. Mine had short bolt where they should have been long.2. If they are rebuilt they may have been blasted which screws up all of the seals which is really dangerous. I installed mine and while I was bleeding them I noticed they were leaking along the seal joint. I had to hand sand them flat and re machine a few of the surfaces. Next time I will buy used and rebuild them myself.Oh and do not forget there are different sizes.

What type of activities will the car in question be used for?

While the aluminium calipers will be lighter, people often forget the benefits of cast iron in caliper design.

if it's just going to be driven on the streets, it won't matter whether you have aluminum or iron calipers. go with whichever is cheaper.

Iron whould be a lil harder to find as not as many Z's were made in the later years but they are all 30mm in iron. and the Aluminum you have the 26mm from the NA and 30mm from the TT. I would go aluminum 1. Lighter than Iron 2. Cools faster as along as they are not polished and have the factory demples in them. Plus we have both.
