I had just bought my 300zx and I been researching a bit but I was wondering is it possible to but a r34 twin turbo engine in a 300zx and would it be illegal in the state of CA and would it cost a lot?

Yes, its is possible to fit a rb26 in there, been done before. Yes, you will fail emissions in CA.

If you have to ask if it ill cost a lot, you are no near ready to do this project. Yes, looking 10k+, ALOT of custom work.

It will only fail the emission test would be the only problem in the state of Ca? And does it matter what rb26 engine they will all fit?

you can make any engine fit, but its all going to cost a lot, heck the rb is 3K+ alone...

chip? try a new computer along with a lot of other electronic plugs and etc...

if you have to ask these simple questions a swap is wayyyy beyond your abilities(no offense). unless you want to pay a shop to do it ALL for you.

You should really make your own thread if you have a question, what you did is called threadjacking :nono:

But since its such a simple question, if your timing belt broke it will easily cost a few thousand to fix because at the very least you have bent valves. Unless you located a cheap used engine and did ALL the work yourself, then maybe only a few hundred or so.
