It'll work. Here's a picture of the e-brake assembly from a Q.

Here's a picture of the e-brake assembly from the Z.

And here's some spec sheets on the rotors.

As you can see, the inner hub areas and overall height are the same, so it'll work.

You are a life saver . Just a few more questions I swear. Can I use the z32 cable still? If so do I have to use the z32 anchor bolt? I'm not looking to splice anything. And last but not least is there a specific year I'm looking for?

The Q requires the tabbed style hubs for the anchor bolt, whereas certain Zs don't (Not sure which is which). On my setup, I had the whole upright from an R32 GTS-T. The hubs were tabbed like the Q, so I used a cutting wheel and sliced off the tab to attach to my anchor bolts so they would space out properly (I couldn't use the hub outright as the spline count was too large to accept the larger Z TT style axles). I ended up using Z32 2+2 cables to attach them to my ebrake handle (the R32 cables were cut or I would have used those).

This is just one of the pluses of the parts-bin strategy Nissan uses. The parts are literally the same across the platforms, so you can swap around and still have working, safe assemblies. Depending on the condition of the shoes, I would recommend replacing them, the ones from the R32 were all sorts of crapped out, so I had to bite the bullet and drop the coin on brand new shoes.

Any Q from the second gen should work, which is 96-00 I believe. Not sure if the first generation used the same rear brake setup.

Tabbed style hub? I just have missed something on that when i was reading the billion different posts about drum ebrake in the s13 so is it just better for me to hold out till my lucky day when I find a z32 in a local yard or cl? Can you elaborate a little more on this just incase I am feeling froggy?

Here's my R32 hubs before I hacked the tab off.

The tab acts as a spacer, and without it, the anchor will be positioned wrong and nothing will fit right. Some Zs don't have tabbed hubs and instead the anchor is slightly thicker to accommodate. When I tear down my car for the frame up, I'll pull the anchors and replace them with the thicker Z units (depending if I can find them of course).

We had a discussion on this topic a long time ago in the vert forum of all places. I went and looked it up 'cause I remember someone teaching me about the difference between the two anchors as I thought they all had the annoying tab.

Get whatever e-brake assembly you can. If you don't want to hack the hub tabs off, Nissan might still have the anchors available. I would suggest getting them off an N/A Z.

Hopefully that clears up some confusion for you.
