300zx diff

just installed a 300zx rear in my 89 240sx i am hearing a loud whine from it now i am going to change fluid and see if that helps but i remember reading there is a yellow line that needs to be lined up on the drive shaft and on the snout of the diff. but the snout is painted over is there anyway i can get this lined up? thanks in advance

I dont think the input shaft and drive-shaft mating is an issue as long as it lines up good and was torqued right. Its probably a worn out diff I hate to say.
