300ZX DIFF ON S13?

I HAVE SEARCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!I HAVE A VLSD OUT OF A 300ZX N/A WITH THE 5 BOLT OUTPUT FLANGES AND I HAVE THE SHORT AXELI WANT TO USE 300ZX AXLES AND ALRADY HAVE THE SHORT ONE SO WHAT DO I NEED THE SHORT ONE OR THE LONG ONE?MY FRIEND TOLD ME TO USE 2 SHORT ONES IS THAT TRUE?

um... I believe you need J30 shafts.

IDK if any of the 300z shafts will work???

Theres a whole website that tells you these things but I cant seem to remember what its is right now. It even tells you ratios and ****.

I've never really heard of people breaking stock 240 axles, so why so yuou want to put 300zx axles on? Also, I know you can do this with some diffs, but try switching the internals of the 300zx diff into the 240 pumpkin. There was a write up that I read somewhere on using a 300zx diff in a 240, I'll try and find the link.

man thats way more work then its worth.

Hes trying to figure out witch axels to use cause the 300zx NA halfshafts are a 5 bolt. The stock S13 shafts are a 5 hole (3 sets of 2).

Right now you have your S13.... an 300z vlsd.... all you're missing is the shafts to put it in.

Soooooooooooooo go to the junkyard and find a J30. steal the shafts and install them on your car.

oh yeah, idk if it applys to the 300z diff but I know on the J30 you have to swap your original S13 cover so that it can bolt up to the subframe.

If you havnt messed with a rearend before I wouldnt recomned trying that. Unless you have a helpfull hand that knows what they are doing or dont mind if your **** blows up lol.

So yeah. Take the easy route! J30 axels!

my understanding has always been that you only need the J30 output spindles, not the whole shaft.

i already have 1 of the axles so i just need the other one, im in PR the junkers here are expensive as hell and im going to FL soon so im thinking getting one there and i don't have time to work on my coupe
