i recently installed powertrix coilovers and to me i hear a noise on the driver rear, i hear and feel like a thump but its just me i went to where i got it installed and they crank the car up and tell me that its the passenger side tie rod (the rod that u see that hold the tire i guess its connected for the hicas) the passenger side rod was really close to the exhaust and the driver side wasnt so they told me that it was that.

i called charles and he said that its 99.99% of the time something loose on the coilover itself he said sometimes the 17mm on the top becomes loose after the adjustment and at the shop they told me that its impossible because that is secured by the factory.

im really confused and i need help i was my coilovers to be in there correctly and not making any noise especially because they brand freakin' new!!!!

ill try and get some pics up later but if any of you can take their own pictures and wanna show thanks in advance and from where i saw the car i saw it from the rea i was standing underneath the car mufflers ... and if this is true that the tie rods do hit the exhaust and that is the noise how in the world would i ever be able to lower it? wouldnt that make it even worse??

HELP!!!!   :bs: :nono:  :ohno: :squint: :frown: :tisk:

There are a few things you can do to check. First, do what Charles suggested and check the tightness of everything. Bang with you fist on the springs, mounts and listen. Raise and lower the wheel and notice if there is give in the suspension or if it works tightly. You can eliminate the coil overs by putting your stock ones back on the rear if the noise is coming from the rear.

mistakes happen all the time at shops, things get overlooked. I would go over all the bolts again. Don't doubt the coilovers so soon, it's a great product and Charles specializes in the Z32. Anyone on here would be more than happy to be running them :)

As for getting fixed easily... no such thing on a Z32.
