Ok, so i have a 1990 300zx N/a... For some reason the clutch is extremley soft, and when the car is running i cant shift into any gear. However, when the car is not running it easily shifts, but as soon as i cut the car on while in gear(and foot on clutch) it will jerk... a mechanic told me this could be my CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER.... If this is true does someone know the procedure on bleeding the clutch slave cylinder once the new on is in place?

it does sound like either the clutch slave or master cylinder. Bleeding is done the same way you bleed brakes. Open the bleed valve, have friend pump pedal, close bleed valve, have friend release pedal, repeat untill fluid is clear of bubbles.BTW this is the 240 forum.

play it safe replace the clutch slave cylinder, and bleed it, and if it still does it let us know
