I am selling a pair of Sport Max 006; 18"x7.5"- Offset 42 rims, and a potential buyer asked if they would clear the 300ZX (26mm) brake calipers that he put on his 240SX.

Anyone know the answer? Anyone have a set of rims with these measurements and brake set-up? If so, please include pix.

Thanks !

I think that actually has a lot to do with spoke design. You may want to post what kind of wheels they are. Also, take a picture of the opposite side of the wheel and post it if possible.-fuse.

generally I'd say your right... but jeez, +42 is HIGH.

I highly doubt it.

But post up pics, ya never know.

By "opposite" you mean BACK SIDE, right?

Correct. For some reason "backside" didn't come to mind.-fuse.

Depends, do you have an s13 or an s14?

For the s13, I just bought the full front spindles (I'll take them apart and use what I need) and the rear hubs off of an s14. I also purchased the 300zx front calipers. Got all of it for $450 plus shipping.

For an s14 base model, all you need is the hubs from an SE and the calipers.

Also, you'll want a 300zx master cylinder if you can get one. And don't forget to take into account the price of a new set of wheels for your new 5-lug set up. I'm lucky, mine were free.

If you'd like to know more, please follow this link.-fuse.

Yea they would clear the rim but the offset would be the objective...I'd say it will be a very tight fit and may require some filing.

On a side not, I've been doing alot of research on these calipers and apparently the 26mm bolt straight up to the OEM holes on a B15 Sentra....I just have to ask why would you need the MC off the 300Z?

I have personally tired that same exact wheel but on my 30mm caliper and it only cleared after using a 15mm spacer. But w/ an offset that high, i would run 25mm to 30mm hub adapter.

I got a quick question that I may as well throw in here instead of making a new thread.

eBay braided steel conversion lines: Trust them or no?Should I just spend the extra $50 and get the 300zx conversion lines from pdm racing or are brake lines pretty much all the same when it comes down to it?-fuse.
