Hey I have a 91 SE w/ the stock 6 spoke aluminum wheels. Would the 300zx brakes fit behind these at all? If so, would I have to use the 26mm instead of the 30mm? What are the pro's and con's of the aluminum 30mm vs. the cast iron 30mm, or are there any? I'm doing autocross and I'm in need of brakes right now so I want to know what to order.

aluminum are better, no they don't fit. they only fit w/ the s14 SE rims. the 16" 5-spokes. the NA and turbo brakes fit w/ them. i'm pretty sure that info. is accurate

Thanks for the info all. I was thinking that the aluminium would be better for that reason. But I had a stroke of luck last night; the wheels that I want are Enkei RS5's. (17") Well when I was out at Heartland Park drag racing last night, there was a guy with a civic hatch with those wheels on them. I was talking to him about them and he told me that he had just been sponsored and got a set of 18" wheels for free so he was selling that set(with tires)! The even better part is that he is selling them for only $600. That is about $400 less than what I would have had to pay for them new!!! So I'm not worried about the brakes fitting anymore. Also, does anyone have any info on a rear brake conversion? Is it going to make that much difference? I'm an autocrosser, so I don't know if this is really going to be worth my money? Thanks for the info everyone.

My brakes went to hell tonight I went right into the middle of a 4-way, desperately needing new front pads
