yes you can, but you end up swapping a LOT of parts, heres one link:

http://www.sportcompactcarweb....lvia/

thats got some good info, even though I dotn like SCC, its a interesting article.

I'll just be swapping the fronts because the 300ZX twin turbo brakes up front will be more than enough for my purposes, even road racing.

if I need something better, I'll contact wilwood or baer systems and get one made.

it includes the 300zx 4 piston aluminum calipers 5 hole roters that can be drilled to fit the 4 lug hub if required and a master cylender but isent nessary and the backing plates, you will need to go to pdm-racing.com to get the hose kit for $100.00 thats all you need.the rest is easy. although you might not be able to use stock 16 inch rims. Im not shure

You can but you need the rear hubs, back half of the cables (and IIRC still needs to be modified), or you could make your own. This is because it uses an external drum assembly for the e-brake. Ours is mechanical, and when the ebrake is pulled a lever is pushed forcing the rear piston into the rotor.

The rear brakes don't do very much. If you use the handbrake there's not very much decelration before the rears lock up. And that's without the weight transfer when using the front brakes.

does anyone know FOR SURE if 300zx brakes (probably nonturbo since I've heard aluminum twinturbo calipers stick out more or something) will fit inside factory 16 inch alloy wheels on a 95? It's always "not for sure if it will fit or not" or something.

Yeah they do fit. I was looking for a 240 and one guy had the 300zx brake conversion on his car with stock wheels.

I do not mean to hijack the thread, but i did not want to start another similar topic. Can anybody post a pic of the back of the 7 spoke S13 alloy wheels that will clear the 26mm 300zx calipers. I would like to see if mine are the style that will clear them, so if my other wheels will not clear i can put my stock ones back on. Thanks!!

In the near future, I'm looking to do a Ford Cobra swap. I mentioned this awhile ago but wasn't sure of parts involved.

This kit basically consists of the 13" Cobra rotors, Skyline 4-pot aluminum calipers and a custom mounting bracket. I've drawn up a diagram of the bracket if anyone's interested.

I need some time to consult my machinist and do some test-fitting.

An a sidenote, I made an error. I meant 300ZX brake calipers, not Skyline calipers. The 300Z rotors are 30mm in diameter as are the Cobras'.

At the minimum, you'll need 17" rims to clear.

Another obstacle I'm facing are the center bore and lug-bores are different between the 300Z and the Cobra. Maybe re-drilling of the rotors are in order.

you can get all 4 brakes from the Z32 to work and the E-brake projectsilvia sells the lines for it, you will need to front brake lines and the e-brake line kit

PARTS NEEDED FOR SWAP

Front:

RotorsCalipersBrake lines

Rear:

RotorsCalipersDust shield (front NA 300ZX)E-brake cablesBrake lines

The dust shield has the e-brake hardware attached to it

Here is a shot of the rim with less clearence, The place I got these pictures said you would need at least a 15mm spacer to run the 30mm calipers compared to 5mm with the other rim casting. I am going to installing my 30mm calipers in a week or so. I'll see how big of a spacer I'll need then.

oh and you might want to grab the master cylinder off the z32 also to complete the z32 brake package

30mm Z32 TT caliper swap on S13 won't fit factory 16" (95+ SE wheels), you need spacers

I was referring to the Ford Cobra rotors, not the Z's.
