Im looking into getting the 300zx brake conversion soon maybe this week or next week but an unexpected bill just popped up so im only going to be able to get the calipers and brake lines right now, only question that i have is if you are able to use the stock s13 rotors. I know it may sound like a stupid question but a friend of mine who has the conversion done all around said you can. Ive searched and have read and read about doing the 300zx caliper swap and no where have i heard of being able to do this. Is my friend right or wrong. Thanks guys.

If you get those, they're not going to work. You can use the stock 240sx brake lines, but its not 100% correct. If you want to do it the right way, you need to order 240sx to 300zx conversion lines. Almost every online store sells them. Check with the sponsors ------>>

Dont use the stock lines. The fittings are different.

http://www.SPLParts.com has the best prices Ive seen: $45 per axle. But I havent checked prices from other sponsors in a while...

When it comes to your brakes don't **** around and cut corners... this is NOT the place to be getting cheap.

If you use the stock lines you have a chance of the brakes malfunctioning (read... not stopping= possibly wrecked car and or injuries to others).

$90 is a VERY cheap price to pay for peace of mind and safety.

The "26mm Aluminum" calipers were used ONLY on 1990 non-turbos. They used a 280mm x 26mm rotor.

The "30mm Aluminum" calipers were used on 1990 Twin-turbos and ALL 1991-1992.5 300ZX's (both turbo and non-turbo alike). They used a 280mm x 30mm rotor.

The "30mm Iron" calipers were used on ALL 1992.5-1996 300ZX's (both turbo and non-turbo alike). They also used the 280mm x 30mm rotor.

Wow, I'm still new to posting on these forums but damn there's a lot of missinformed people on here.

Do not use the stock 240 brake lines. They have banjo fittings and are not compatible with z32 brakes. Yes you could fit them but it's a very un-safe thing to do since they could easily come loose.

You can most deffinately use stock 300zx lines. The only reason few people do this is because they are 2 part lines and it's difficult to find both parts without going to a NISSAN dealership. They consist of a rubber line that runs from the hard mount under the fender to a short hard line that mates to the caliper. If you have both the rubber and the short hard line these are perfectly fine. BUT, since most people feel the need to upgrade to stainless steel lines you may as well go ahead and order conversion lines. Agency Power sells a beautifull set of conversion lines at a good price. I have them and love them.

Just be sure to order the correct rotors and you are good to go. It's a simple upgrade that well worth the small effort.

^^^^ hey guy, READ. no one told him to use the stock lines. and why would you even think of running a z32 rubber line, it totally defeats the purpose of upgrading your brakes. what good is stopping power if you can't modulate it without the brake line acting like a balloon
