Hey I've been thinking about installing the OEM brake calipers from a 300zx on my S14. They look alot better and are bigger than those dinky things on the 240. If I were to do this would I also have to run new brake lines? My car is a '95 so should I get the calipers from the same year or does it not matter. I know alot of you right now have just realized I'm a beginner at this but if you could help me out that would be great.

Any Z32 300zx caliper and rotor will work. Just be carefull you choose all of one type, there are the 28mm wide rotor type, and 30mm wide rotor type. If your S14 is SE trim, the 30mm wide calipers will fit under the stock SR rims and the rotors wont need to be drilled either which is a conciderable bonus.

Welcome to nico! Dont hesitate to ask questions if you cant find what your looking for in previous posts

yes you're going to need conversion lines for the 300ZX calipers because if im correct the caliper from the Z has a banjo fitting to where the 240SX doesnt have it...

but make sure that you get matchin rotors because the 30mm rotor and the 26mm( not 28mm) will not interchange between calipers...

yea the fronts are pretty easy....... rears on the other hand are a little more involved.

*the complete brake swap, explained*http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm

it would be easier to get everything off the same car, well at least get all the calipers and rotors from the same car, those are the things that can get mismatched and could cause complecations.

ironically im installing the front z32 brakes on my friends s13 today.

the rear calipers are as easy as the fronts, its the dang e-brake assembly and splicing the ebrake lines that is a royal pain. oh not to mention having one of your speed bleeder leak break fluid all over one of your new rims but would i do it again?
