My bmc is leaking through the tiny middle hole between the brake lines. I got a new nabco mc and am ready to bleed brakes and replace the mc.

However, the 2 nuts holding the brake lines in the master cylinder seem to be fused shut!!!! I've used a 10mm open ended wrench and a vise grip to no avail. All that did was smooth out the hex shape of the nuts...

Can I cut my lines and attach some sort of extender?? Where and what size nuts can I buy to replace the ones I've damaged??

Please help. Brake pedal is spongy, rolling to a stop right now

You needed to use a tool called a flare nut wrench, its closed 3/4 of the way around so it doesn't round the nuts off. Unfortunately if you have rounded them off you either need to cut and reflare the line with a new nut, or replace the brake line. Also make sure you bench bleed the new mc before putting it in.

sounds like it's a bit late for the flare nut wrench

soak them in pb blaster or similar and get a pair fo these

they look wierd but work great on stripped out brake fittings

also a small pipe wrench works well
