Post

I paid a shop to do a TT conversion on my 2+2/... long story short...he did the tt swap it blew that day, he replaced it but appearntly only put turbos on a non turbo motor. 8 grand later no running car and im doing it myself

So i have 2 GSP upgraded turbos...supposedly the biggest bolt on turbo you can put.
I have purchased some JEGS 555 injectors and Jim Wolf matched computer
FMIC
Oversized Radiator
Just machined heads
and waiting to have to short block machined.

I will post some questions here and as i get answers i will copy the answer into my main thread to make it easy and possibly add new questions.

So what is the best piston/rods for this car? (im looking for something Fast, but daily driveable so i need longevity)
What is the difference between the NA motor and TT motor?
What are some other things i might need to look out for on this rebuild?

Thank you all in advance.

You should thoroughly read this:

http://www.z1motorsports.com/PDFs/NATTconversion.pdf

It gives ALL the detailed differences between the engines and supporting systems.

Stock TT internals are good for over 500hp, so it depends how much hp your aiming to get. As the article says, NA and TT crankshaft and connecting rods are the same, only the pistons and bearings are different. The heads are virtually the same, TT ones flow a little better and use stronger exhaust valves. Oil pumps are different, mainly just the spring inside that makes the TT one flow at a higher pressure. Read the article first and post back with any questions you have after that
