Hey does anyone happen to know what year 300z twin turbo engine would fit or if it wouldnt fit into my 96 240 if i am ever able to locate and eengine? thanks a lot

You should die because it's a question that shows strongly your level of knowledge. If you've ever looked at a VG motor, in a Z32, and looked at your motor in the 240, you'd realize the constraints of fitment, wiring, etc. By asking the question, you've announced that you have no clue.

I could barely fit my hands into my Z31 bay....I get exhausted just thinking about how much of a b*tch it is to work the the Z32....Imagining that in a 240 is just nuts....I'd rather use the money to buy something pimp, like a bike, or another car.

So if you had no clue, why would you even bother asking, since there is no possible way for you to that swap? I don't worry about Ferrari car specs, I know nothing about Mercedes or Volvos, becasue I'm never going to have one.

why would you go ruin the balance of a 240sx by droping a 6cylinder? why not just buy a 300zx. some mods are just not worth doing. or you could just drop in a V12 from a bmw 750il, add 4 gt3037's motec engine management large shot of nitrous and run her on 116octane and see what she pulls on the dyno...just an idea

And don't forget to add 350lbs in led weight in the trunk to get the rear wheels back onto the ground so you can run the dyno while you're at it.

While we're talking about killer engine swaps can someone tell me how 2 swap this engine into my 240 plx??!?!?! This would be BADAZZ YO.

thanks to AunVoh's hating me and wanting me to die i had an accident and ruined my beautiful 240's front end and hes a d**shbag and cant use photoshop and if you cant use photoshopp good to make your car look good whcih it doesnt means your a moron and since i have to get a new front end does anyone have headlights for a 96 240 ok thanks

if you want to put a 6 cylinder into your car get an R33 crossmember and put an rb25det or rb26dett into it, hell of alot easier then hacking the hell out of the engine bay with a sawzall and hammer to fit a Z32 motor... thats just stupid

and if you gotta replace the fornt end i say convert to s14a front end if you like it better, perfect opportunity

C'mon man...show a little more intestinal fortitude than that! You have to stand up for yourself here a little better...just because you get flamed on rotisserie-style, it doesn't mean you should go out and drive with all of this rage inside you and get into an accident...AunVoh is always like that, don't worry about him. how about you guys learn some maturity. not everyone here is a mechanic. AunVoh, APEXi, and R240. you three should try to grow up and learn some tolerance. he didnt know, and all you had to do was tell him. instead, you just acted like your sh*t doesnt stink.

other than that, why put a I-6 in the car for that matter? would the weight concern not be the same with the larger engine whether it be an inline or a Vmotor? the available work area under the hood is an issue, but if he did want a v12, let him at least try and find a way to put it in there. without questions and creative thinking there is no learning.

a search tool is a valuable thing, yes, but sometimes it does not yield a desireable result. (due to any number of factors, not the least of which is user stupidity....that is my problem anyway)
