I believe the calipers are the same, but the rotors aren't. The J was much more heavier than the 300zx.

Not necessarily true according to Wiki:

300zx 1989 - 2000 Curb weight:

3,186 lb (1,445 kg) 2 seater non-turbo T-top
3,373 lb (1,530 kg) 2 seater twin-turbo T-top
3,310 lb (1,501 kg) 2 seater twin-turbo hard top
3,432 lb (1,557 kg) 2 seater convertible
3,313 lb (1,503 kg) 2+2 non-turbo T-top
3,602 lb (1,634 kg) 2+2 twin-turbo T-top

Infiniti J30 1992 - 1997 Curb weight:

3,580 lb (1,624 kg)

There shouldn't be any problem stopping a J30 with brakes from a turbo 300zx. I don't know if the non-turbo models have smaller of less adequate brakes.
