JGS turbo starter kit: $1700 t3/t4 turbo, manafold, oil lines, 3' dp JGS FMIC and make the intake and intercooler piping : $300 Im looking for a pretty affordable fuel setup, I was looking at the AMS fuel system kit with the Walbro fuel pump: $700 fuel rail, 65lb injectors, fuel pump, braided lines, FPRAs far as the fuel system goes, i think i can get one for alot cheaper then thatTuning: I found the AEM wideband o2 from Turbo240 along with the fuel kit. thats $70Apexi S-AFC II Fuel/Air controllerApexi AVC-R Electronic boost controllerand finally a MSD BTM for timingshould i reflash the ECU around this time?Yeah so thats my desired setup, I want around 300whp on stock internals. The engine is in great shape with only 92k original miles on a 93 hatch. The total is around $4200 with this setup ,but i want to try to cut this price down a bit. Im open for suggestions/concerns on how i should go about this project. thx

why don't you just buy injectors for your fuel rail instead of the ams kit, and just buy the fuel pump thru the classifieds on here only like 93 bucks or so shipped, thats like 400 off your prices already.

don't need no damn braided fuel lines, or fpr or crazy billet rail.

Agreed, and you can save some cash by not going with the JGS kit. Piecing it together can save a lot of money.

Also, don't buy SAFC if you are going to reflash. What a waste that would be.

i highly suggest going with the jgs kit. no welding or fab work to do at all. dont have to search for individual pieces which may take a while to find exactly what youre looking for. i have the jgs started kit and im very glad i went with it. everything went into place like it should. but i already but a turbo from someone off of here for a really good price, and sourced out a used tial wg locally, so i only paid 700 something for the jgs kit and that saved me almost 400. i would def not go with the jgs intercooler. an ebay front mount will do the job just as good for the 300 mark. i got my brand new 24x12x3 bar and plate off of ebay for 140 shipped. you cant beat that, and i also went with one of those 2.5 diy charge piping kits for 130 shipped. lol i only ended up using 4 of the pipes out of the 8 it came with. then i dropped the ****ty rubber couplings it came with and picked up some silicon mazworxz couplings along with tbolt clamps. id go with an enthalpy tuned ecu. there would be no need for the btm of afc. thats 400 off right there. also, id go with a greddy profec bost controller as theyre a hella lot easier to use and cheaper than an avcr. i also agree on going with side feeds that will fit in your stock rail such as 555 deatchworks. a walbro off ebay is 100 shipped, and id for sure go with an adj fpr (megan is like $80). youre also gonna need an upgraded maf too. z32 will do the trick and can be had for 125-150. that would be a solid setup for 300 whp. also, the jgs downpipe is 2.5'' not 3'', but its designed to bolt right up to an sr 3'' dp though which makes things really simple.

I second everything j-z said. That setup should be good for 350whp.

I cant comment on the boost controllers, but you could use a manual BC and save some more dough.
