Okay i know the down pipe flange is 4 bolt on a 300, i can always just use the 300z downpipe and fab the rest. But i hear that the t25 offa the 300tt is smaller then then one that comes from sr. I was totally lost, i thougth this shop was str8 stupid, but they seem to be known for being good so i am lost. I have used the search, and yes it may seem pretty dumb to some of you. So if you think this is dumb, and answering me is not worth your time, dont leave me useless comments.

If it was on a Z32 then it wouldnt fit. The back turbing housings are different bolt patterns. You would need a custom O2 extension made. And unless its a good turbo upgrade, then its probably not worth it.

A 300zx turbo is smaller then the sr.The 300zx use's a t22 turbo.A sr20 turbo would be a upgrade for the 300zxtt.The OEM turbo upgrade you want is a s14 or s15 turbo.

the exhaust housing is a little bit bigger on the SR T25 than on the 300zx TT T25. The SR uses a 5 bolt exhaust housing where as the 300zx uses a 4 bolt housing. But the inlet side on the turbos are the same. they are both T25 turbos. If the turbo was a larger turbo for the Z like a PE1420, JWT 530BB, 600, 700, or HKS GT2530, or a Z1 motorsports turbo with a bolt exhaust housing I'm sure you could use it and it would be a bigger turbo than the stock SR T25. You would just have to reclock the turbo so that it could mount up like the stock turbo. As far as using the stock Z turbo and using the factory or after market 4 bolt downpipe I don't even think that it could work even with fabricating. The Z32 downpipes are just too big and mite cause clearence issues with the steering knuckle.

Just my thoughts.

The compressor sides are not the same.

The Z32 uses a smaller trim wheel, and it has a smaller A/R (around 0.46 A/R to the SR's 0.80 A/R)

the shop might have been refering to the z31 turbo. the earlier z31 turbo was a t3-60 i believe.
