A 3" would be less restricting.

Check in the turbo KA forum. You'll probably get better answers there, and there is probably already answers there if you search.

It's run through a turbo manifold, so it wouldn't really matter as long as it's about 2", IMO

What? Why would a 2" exhaust be okay because you're running a turbo manifold?Using 2" exhaust piping should NOT be okay because you're going to be turbocharged.Do you know what you're talking about? You're running a TURBO, they don't like back pressure. You're going to be using a GT30r and you think at least 2" is fine?

The stock exhaust piping isn't even that small.

2.5" piping (assuming its quality mandrel bending) will be ok be fine for up to 300hp i believe.

if you get 3" piping, your turbo will spool up faster, but you will have a very noticable loss of low end.

i had about ~225whp on my ka-t with a 3" and the spool was incredible, but i lost low end. it was night and day in low end power when i switched to 2.5" piping.

and also, just fyi, your stock block ka (assumign good condition) will be able to do 350hp no problem. these are toughhh engines! you might not even have to mess with the cams. just have a good tune man
