I actually got these in around the time of halloween but i never got to posting pics. The old 6000k bulbs i had blew so i decided to try something new, by the way I don't recommend anyone to do this if they do a bunch of night driving ( I hardly ever.) I usually just drive with the lights on during the day anyway, I'm surrounded by senior citizens wherever I go so i get paranoid sometimes.

Also while playing gran turismo 3, i was inspired by the yellow lights on the cars during the laguna seca 'sunset' course.

When driving around at 6pm with the lights on the Z looks pretty beast.

Pictures for the curious:

(My bad for the ultra underexposure)

In person it sort of gives off a bit of a lime green tint to it, but on the road and elsewhere its a pretty vibrant yellow.

Yellows are great for fogs since they don't reflect much back at the driver or present much glare towards oncoming traffic.

I do most of my driving at night and my housings are due up for replacement so I'll be looking for a nice setup soon. I'm open to recommendations. And even though I always recommend them myself, if anyone tells me Clear Corners and I'll slug them...I dont' have that much cash to drop right now. Pity.

I can see some of the lime green you're talking about in the top pic Soup.

Badger,

Go with 10000K!

J/K...Either 5000k or 6000k are good upgrade. Nothing higher than 6000k.

Yellow overlays are cool, but yellow HID's?

Guess it KINDA makes it look like a track car. Guess I just wouldn't do it. :gotme

I guess I'm kind of backwards, yellow overlays look like crap on black cars imo. If i had a white one that it would be a different story, white cars with the yellow lights look great.

I like Nogaro Red with tinted tails and yellow overlays. I'm just kinda undecided on the bulbs though.

If the beam is strong enough, it should stay its intended color regardless of the overlay. Many honduhs over here in Fla, have them.

IMO, it needs a more aggressive look to pull the overlays off. Stance, lip, ect.

Honestly, the more I look at the yellow bulbs, the more I like it. I think it would look like hell on a Z32 though, haha.

Maybe I would like it even more if the pictures weren't crazy underexposed! ;)

I actually think it would look good on a z32, especially with the REAL projector lenses (unlike the first gen 350 like mine, like monkey nipples.) It would look like two suns gleaming from your front. So i tried searching for a picture of one and I stumbled on this thing.

oh heres a bonus, looks like the source is from one of our very own too

:barf:

Just went through that thread, and it really does look like an alien invasion! The first one takes the cake, though!

I *MIGHT* think about ordering some 3000K bulbs. The bulbs are all interchangeable, correct? Think it might be interesting. I'll post some pics if I do.

Yeah it should be interchangable, if you already have the ballast then all you need is 9006, 3000k hid bulb. I hope you don't do a lot of night driving, because if you do.. prepare to follow a nice blanket of urine as you drive

i think thats the ticket
