Double check your MAF connection. Is there any corrosion, if so clean it. Anything else you messed with at that time?

It looks great. No cel or anything either. It was running perfect. I went outside messed around with it a little. There is a sensor on pass side that wires run across front to I move those wires it changed its idle and sometimes died. May have a short. Nothing else was touched. Mines na also. I pulled front four coil pacs it changed so it not them. Gonna check back two tomorrow. May do tunee up. I plan on finding a mechanic that is good with these around me to fix a few small probkems anyway.

If you have a PTU subharness for the conversion of old style to new style, the connector tends to get s*** up. A lot of people will delete the subharness and solder the wires directly together. I did and it resolved some of the problems I was having.

Well I relocated the ptu today. My harness looked great but the original wires were corroded. So I sprayed some battery cleaner on them and cleaned them really good. Made sure to make it were they all got good connection and put dielectric grease on all connections. Got it all put back together and while I was there I cleaned maf and also cleaned my throttle bodys out. Anyway my problem still exists. It starts up and ru s decent but I can tell it has a stutter or miss in it. Maybe my ptu itself is actually bad. Mine is a 93 and has the new style.

Starting to wonder if it is in my head lol. I spliced the wires to delete the old corroded happy connectors. Once again it starts right up but to me seems to have a slight miss. Gonna replace the ptu and go from there. May replace the maf also just in case.

Plugs not too long ago. It was seafoamed not long ago to decarbon but it ran great afterwards. Swapped out the ptu and maf today chances of getti g two bad ones slim to none. Expecially with same after symptoms. So they are both good. I am going to pull and change my plugs next. Not gonna hurt to have fresh ones in.

idling my car sounds like it has a miss too, but timing is dead on. ALL cyls are firing and power balance test proves this. might be a fouled plug or bad coil, but i can def hear it when the car is idling. that being said it runs flawless up top and get respectable mpg considering the mods and hp... it has alway bothered me but its runs smooth so why bother. might be the same thing for you....

start by reading up and look into the situation yourself.... being a zx owner means one of two thing. you like saving money by working on the z yourself. OR!... you like being rammed in the rear by dealers and mechanics. i recommend you read up and strt to evaluate the situation yourself first.

Not sure if u read any of mu posts lol. I have read all there is. Thus the ptu rewire and relocate on top of everything else I have done. There is nothing else mechanically I can think of to help it. Thus I think exhaust leak. I not worried about money but I do most myself but I will pay a good shop to run through it to fix any and all the small stuff. Taking to jotech next week to have it worked through
