depends on your goals and budget, the vg block can make more power on stock internals, the vq is still pretty much new, there is something to be said for the availability of newer lower miles cars

They think its cooler bcuz it is rarer^Dude screw 300zx tt its too hard to find one in good condition. Although cheap, i chose a 350z over it... If you spend like 10k in a nismo 350z (sticker price 38k checked today at dealer) you could get like a 500/500hp/fttq. AND look rediculously badass. I still love 300zx tts tho.... Hard choice... but i like new cars.... soo much.....

VG has been around for at least 24 years! and the DE variant at least 19, but the 350Z has only been around for 5 years, the newest Z32 sold in the states is 12 years old! I gotta say in my old age I tire of busting my knuckles on old cars with cramped engine bays

If you are into tubo's the 300zx is the way to go.

I don't do turbo's. So even though I like the 300's I'm tired of being burnt on used rides.

I'm dig'n the nismo 350z like a grave.

It all depends on your money situation and plans for it. It' really hard to get a loan for a 300zx, believe me I've tried.
