300 and 240 wheel offsets

how compatibale are wheel off sets, im looking for at least a 8.5 rear and having some difficulty, can I just order wheels for a 300zx and expect them to fit?

I'm not sure about offset, but I have seen a few 240s with the Turbo rear wheels on them. As far as I know they fit fine. I was thinking about doing the same, but I opted for the N/A 7.5" all around (and for $240 for all for, I can't complain). I'll post some pics and info about how these fit. It should give you a good idea about how much room the Turbo wheels will have.

That's how I ordered my wheels. Most places have a very limited application guide and go by the manafacturer's specs, so you can't get very aggressive with fitment. The S14 OE wheels are 40mm, but for better looks you'd want to drop down to a 35mm at least, depending on the wheel maybe more. Wheels with a large lip can be higher since some of the wheel protudes outward. A flat face wheel in a 30mm offset looks perfect. Z32 wheels are 42mm for the 7.5, 45mm for the 8.5 IIRC, but again those are flat wheels and sit underneath the car.

I went the 300z wheel offsets in the end and ordered Volk GTNs 9.0 rear 8.0 fronts, I'll worry about making them fit when they get here.
