This was super helpful. I can buy an 30 pin connector with a lightning cord on the opposite end, so I will try that to see if I can play music through the car's speakers. THANK YOU.MultipleNissans wrote:I had a 2013 Rogue & here's what I can remember about the subject (memory not what it used to be):
The Rogue came with a special connector for the 30 pin socket in the centre console. The cable came with the Rogue & mine was right there in the centre console when I got the vehicle new.
You plug that cable into the 30 pin hole & the other end of the cable had a connector for a phone or iPod.
At the time I had an iPod, an iPohne 5S & an iPhone 6 - not sure but think I used it mostly with the iPod.
Once the connection was made the button on the dash acts like an AUX & the iPod would play thru the speakers.
IF/IF you had one of the original cables (should be able to get from the dealer) you could see what's on the other end
(might be a USB plug) & then if you had an adapter to go from that to a lightening connector you might be able
to make it work with your iPone 6.....
Hopes this helps a bit - sorry I don't remember totally but I did indeed play music from a device (iPod?) thru the speakers.....
UPDATE: The car did come with a 30 pin connector, but it was 30 pin on both ends. I ordered a 30 pin to lightning cord adapter from Amazon and it came with another cord that looks like it will plug into the audio jack in the phone, so we will see how this works. Amazon is great, because if it doesn't work, you can send it back, no charge!
