sweet deal! what kind of 3-ways?

i'm workin on puttin 3-ways in my doors right now (90' 240) and the only way i can think of doin it properly is by making an entire firbreglass enclosure in the door... lot of work, but it's soo worth it :D

what you also might want to consider is gettin kickpanels for the 4"s and the tweets... they sound pretty good down there cause they'll be angled up and at your head, and you can keep the 6.5" in the doors cause they don't really need to be aimed.

last thing i can suggest is actually cutting a hole in your door, maybe halfway up where there is room for the magnet and will also aim the 4"s as close as possible at the ears... you should use a bowl of somekind to create a seperate enclosure for it, so that it doesn't use the same airspace as the 6.5"s...

sorry no direct experience with an s14... but these are the only options i can think of in terms of installin 3 ways...

thanx for the sugestions

im using mb-quart PSD-316s

I was planning to put the 4"s in the doors but the problem is that i cant find a flat surface large enough to fit the speaker without placing it on the rear botom corner of the door panel which would be a terible place for sound imaging.

the kickpanel sounds pretty good, do yo uknow where i could get one designed to fit an S14?

you could prolly pick some up from a local car audio place... or if they don't have any specific to your car, buy some that you think would fit best, and just mod them to make them fit... much easier than tryin to make your own..

damn! didn't know they were this expensive but you could get somethin like this:

gluck! and post some pics of your finished setup...

the problem i could see with an enclosure like that is the fact that it needs to be molded to the existing kick panel, on the S14 the driver side kick panel has a door for the fuse box which is at a diferent angle than the passenger side kick panel this would cause problems mounting the driver side pannel

ya there is always a problem when it comes to driver's side, but kickpanels ain't easy, and when you have 3-ways, you kinda have to go custom... peeps will give you MAD props for successfully installin 3-ways, so just find a way somehow! :D
