Hey guys,

I am in the process of putting my exhaust together. I have an s14 SR going into an S13. I will be running a 3" elbow, down-pipe and test-pipe. Would it be o.k. to run a 2.5" BRM dual tip exhaust, or should I just keep it all 3" The reason I'm asking is because of fitment issues. I spoke with Greg, and I told him I liked how the BRM exhaust didn't seem to "hang low" like other exhausts on the S13 (like the HKS Hi-power). He let me know that with the 2.5" piping, I will have no hang but he wasn't sure about the 3".

What do you guys think? Will I lose power buy dropping in size or will the drop be better for low-end torque?

Do any of you have similar set-ups?

Thanks

If you're under around lets say 300HP, 2.5" is fine. Unless you're making big numbers, 2.5" will be fine.

id personally go with the 3" but i don't care about how close it sits to the ground and what not.Im sure you wont even notice the difference in power between a 2 1/2 and a 3.

Yeah 3" will be louder. But if you want something that's loud BRM is not for you.

I'd go with the 3" exhaust pipe if you're going to put out more than 350 hp. You won't lose the hp vs the 2.5".

just don't mind replacing your turbo repeatedly because of the cyclone effect created by going from 3inches to 2.5
