3 springs above trans valve body - WHERE?? LOL

I'm tracing a no 3rd gear issue in my 1999 Pathfinder (204k miles).

I've removed the valve body to replace the transmission solenoids. But when I removed the valve body... 3 springs were on top of it. They're about 2.5 inches long - and small, medium, and large in thickness.

I've searched and can't find where these go. I'm assuming they go above the valve body but I don't see where.

Sorry, no personal experience there, but have a look through the auto transmission section of the FSM. AT-234 (or the next page for 4WD) has an exploded view that may help to start with.
