I get mine through a shop that sells through Keystone.

From there you can order either Headman Headers or Hooker Headers. Both sell mandrel 3" bends.

You can get either 18 gauge (0.049" Wall) mild tube, or 16 gauge (0.063" Wall) mild tube.

I would recommend the 16 gauge.

Mine cost me $48 CDN ($41 USD) each for a 180 degree bend. This way you can cut to get two 90 bends. These are J-bends that come with a 6" leg and a 15" leg if I remember correctly.

When I built my downpipe and cat back, I used atleast three 180 degree bends in total.

So you are looking at atleast $120 USD in bends, plus about 4' of straight 16 gauge mild tube. I happen to have my own TIG welder, so I had no costs there. However, if you do not have your own welder, you will need to add this cost.

Furthermore, you certainly DO NOT want to use aluminum for an exhaust, especially the downpipe.

The melting point of aluminum is 1220 F

Compared to mild steel at 2759 F

You'll be reaching in the 1000-1100 atleast with a turbo setup. Not necessarily on a consistent basis, but enough to soften the metal dramatically.

Not to mention you will have to TIG weld the aluminum. Meaning if you do not have your own TIG welder, you will be paying premium dollars to a fab shop.
