hey all im currently trying to install a few gauges into my car to monitor it a little bit better but i am having trouble finding a pillar that will just replace the factory pillar. i do not want to drill or change anything on the old factory pillar. i am looking for a pillar that will just snap into place where the old one sits.. any help would be appreciated. thank you in advance

I haven't seen any pods that completely replace the pillar, but I've seen a few people mention that the triple pod from (I think) Intense fits so tight that they used it in place of the pillar.

If you're doing it for looks you might consider picking up a spare pillar from a parts yard and practicing with it, or even just using it instead of hacking up the one that's in your car now and saving the original to put back in if you sell your Z. If you can get by with just two gauges Crawford Z makes a dual pod panel that fits in the dash cubby...it's a nice way to hide your gauges and make your Z look stock and less of a break-in target.

Cool! Take some pics and post them up when you get it, maybe show it next to the original pillar for comparison and let us what you think of the product quality. The pic on their website doesn't have much contrast so you can't really see much detail, which is a shame, they might sell more if they had a better shot - and the price is really decent.

What types and brand of gauges you plan on putting in?

Are you going FI? If you are two of those slots in your pod should hold a boost gauge and an EGT gauge. The other one that I'd normally recommend (oil pressure) came installed from the factory.

the website where i got this pillar gauge was not a factory replacement but a piece that you mounted onto the factory piece.. not what i was looking for.. so im just going to go with buying a separate factory pillar and the package from glow shift gauges
