In the near future i am going to swap in a SR20DET, into the engine bay of my new car. Before i can purchase a clip i want to put on a new suspension, wheels, and a cat-back exhaust.

The exhaust i want, is a 3'' dual n1 apexi exhaust, will my car run ok, with that cat-back on my KA24DE until i am ready for the swap?

can anyone help me?

I plan on doing the same. It starts at 3" and splits into two 65mm pipes. You are bound to lose some power down low while still running your KA but the engine itself shuld run fine. If anything you'll just be LOUD. Once you get your SR the N1 duals are said to be an excellent choice for retaining low to mid end power. Phase2 is said to be running a 400HP S13 with them on.

Hey Rudee...did you do a manual swap? or was it always a manual? I was wanting to get the Silvia front to make mine a Sil-80. Would it work to get a front clip and just change everthing on my car?...(the manual swap and the front end at same time)

hey foulplay, I plan on doing the same except I plan on putting an rb25det in my s14. But instead of the N1 dual, I plan on having an exhaust shop near me make a 3 in exhaust for me since i know it will be cheaper, and I plan on using some nice titanium muffler. I will probly have my ka for at least another 6 months with the 3 in exhaust and am interested to see how yours works out. keep us posted on what you go with and how it turns out, hopefully you should only lose a little on the bottom end.

I have a 3" catback, made at a local muffler shop. with a straight-through muffler from PDM. It's crush bent, but the bends are so slight, I can't imagine it makes that much, if any, difference. I have $235 in the whole setup, $100 for the muffler and $135 for the pipe. There's a very slight loss of low end torque, but nothing remarkable, same with high end gain. It sounds good too, not at all buzzy/ricey.

Im thinking I want a titanium one b/c they look sweet, but I dont know which ones are good quality and which one will fall apart. I found a couple on ebay, but you guys know about some of the shatty stuff they sell on there. Anybody got any ideas?
