I have a 1992 300zx Twin turbo and im planning on putting a custom 3" exhaust on it and hoping a local shop can do it. Will this sound good or no? Will it help performance ? How much will it cost to get it bent and installed

can't really answer how much it would cost to get bent and installed, that's up to the shop that you choose.
typically, 3'' catback exhausts cost anywhere from 700 to 1,400, it varies, sz, b&b, hks, labree, etc.
it would help performance, but it will be a little bit loud.

my buddy got one done at a place called Maxi Muffler and it didn't sound to bad he said it only costed him around 200 to get a full exhaust stainless steel. Im hoping that the shop i take it to can run it straight back do and H pipe and cut out the cats

I got a full cat delete on mine with headers and 3'' from front to back with X over, resonators and mufflers. It's going to be LOUD on the inside. It sounds great on the outside and isn't too loud but the inside trunk makes for a great amplifier... I installed a layers of sound deaden-er in mine and it's still a little louder on the inside then I would like. My plan is to install another layer of sound deaden-er in the next month or so.

As for power, if you are changing the exhaust after the cats you won't notice much horse power gains if you will notice it at all. Yes, you will gain some performance but the main restrictions are still there: Stock exhaust manifold, stock downpipes, cats. So don't get your hopes up to much on the performance part because you will be let down if you are doing a cat back system.

i wasn't planning on having an amazing hp change just lettin the turboes breath a litte more, thanks for the input, im thinking ill run a custom 3" all the way back H pipe and delete the cats, i have megan exhaust manifolds on there and RS type tips on the end so hopefully it will give it a nice even tone.
