I posted this already in the CA forum. I just wanted a mechanics opinion on this. I have the CA18DET engine. Basically the pulsar motor.

I went to change out the injector because there was like a little puddle gas on top of #3 piston. So I change the injector out. Put everything back together. I start it back up for alittle while then shut it off. Pull #3 spark plug out and there is still gas on top of the piston.

So what I do is start it up (sounds like it is mising real bad) and pull all the coilpack connectors off one by one with the engine running. All of them except for #3 made a difference.

So I do the same thing with the fuel injector connectors. I pull all of them off one by one with the engine running. All of them except for #3 made a difference.

So I start testing all fuel injector connectors, injectors itself, coilpacks, coilpack connectors. Everything tested good and working properly. All spark plugs are getting fire.

Also did a compression test.

#1- 155#2- 160#3- 160#4- 165

I just can't figure out why when I pull the injector connector and coilpack connector on #3 it doesn't make any difference.

Look at the spark on the cyl. make sure it is a strong blue spark. the coil can be firing but be too weak for combustion or shorting out when it is installed. Sounds like it is a ignition problem on that cyl.

Well when I pulled each coilpack off to check for spark, They all looked pretty strong to me. I put #4 coilpack on #3 and #3 on #4 and it still did the samething.
