HELP. 2009 G37s is bone stock, 43k miles. no mechanical issues to date. This was the first G37 in the southeast, I have owned it since it was rolled off the flatbed.
Got >3 years on the stock battery, replaced at Autozone....failed after less than a year....they replaced under warranty with the same battery which failed after a year. All times the battery/alternator was tested and the alternator passes each time, batteries fail. could this really just be bad luck??? I don't have anything in the car that's drawing power that I know of. just a usb charger for my phone. HELP

On my previous 06 G35 I replaced the OEM battery after 5 years when one of the cells began not accepting a full charge.
I priced batteries and the dealer was not much higher. I had the dealer install a 700 CCA battery and never had a problem.
Everything worked when I left the dealer.
You get what you pay for.

What battery did auto zone sell you?

Their gold series 640 CCA, which is the same CCAs as the stock one. This AAA guy said it needed more, he sees them chew through the 640 quickly, or so he says. He put in a 670 CCA, which is 30 more than stock.

I prefer Optima batteries...never had an issue with 'em.
