yes

highway cruising will go down like 2 or 300 rpms with that, top speed increases

acceleration gets worse

the final drive is the rear end

basically, the gear in the transmission is the first reduction, then the final in the rear end is the second reduction

You can play with the numbers using this calculator...http://webpages.charter.net/kgolden/rear.htm

^that seems quite innacurate

i enter in my numbers (24.9in tires, 225/50 16; 4.08 rear end; 70 mph for test)

i got 3,850 rpms, i can tell you my car is not at 3,850 at 70 mph, and my tach is not 700 rpms off either

Nismo sells a 3.69 for the R200.

Your not cool unless you have E*SR's 5.13 Gear.

At first, I thought so too, but then I realized you have to tell it what gear your in.

Your overall ratio is 4.083 (rear end) x 0.759 (5th gear) = 3.099. The calc says 2900rpm, which sounds about right
